When should I feeld my Phalaenopsis Orchid

I keep getting conflicting advice from books!

I have a pot of orchid food - I dissolve a tiny spoonful in the water and they get fed about once a month. This works for mine!

I have some baby bio orchid feed and I add a few drops every other watering.. I have 3 phals and 2 are creating flower spikes as we speak!
