Primula veris?

I bought this plant a a garden show and the label said Primula veris. When I looked it up I believe that Primula veris is a Cowslip, so could the label be wrong?

I believe it is one of the Gold Lace Group Primulas.

I always thought this was one of the primula auriculas. The Victorians used to have display shelves with different varieties.

It's definitely a Gold Lace Group primula. P.auricula has smooth grey-green leaves

Yup, got one too. It's Primula 'Gold Lace'.

Primula veris is the cowslip. This is a form of Primula vulgaris and is one of the gold lace varieties.

Yes a Primula Gold Lace and very pretty it is to.

yes the label is wrong. it is a primula however. Dont know which one, someone will undoubtedly know.
