Can anyone identify this plant please?

My Mother calls it dithery dock, but I cant find any reference to that name.
I found it growing in woodland in the North East of England

No, it's not wet it was in dry woodland between a hill (Roseberry Topping if you know Cleveland) and some farm land.
The wood is well drained and it hadn't rained for a least 2 weeks.

Walked round there its a pretty region, I'm originally from Sunderland now live near Hull.

Dithery Dock is a common name for the annual grass also called quaking grass. Briza media. This sort of looks like it but not quite. is it wet?
