I grew some from seed in late February last year and they were kept frost free and all flowered the same year. You can take cuttings from the new side shoots in autumn I believe and over winter them, ESP as they tend to be damaged by really cold weather. I tend to cut the plants down to around a foot and a half once they've flowered as I have found that that tends to help protect them from the harshes of winters like the one 2010/2011.

« I brought my geraniums in after the summer.I removed excess soil&wrapped them...
some of mine flowered the first year others the year after. So you may well be lucky. the ones in warmer situations did flower.
