I brought my geraniums in after the summer.I removed excess soil&wrapped them in newspape then put them in a dry dark place.Can u plz tell me when is the best time 2 plant them&do they need 2 go in pots or can they go straight into the ground.Many tnx Steve.

if they are still ok and you have a frost free place to put them then I'd repot them and keep the water to a bare minium. If you plant them out before all frosts have gone you will lose them. [I assume you mean pelargonium bedding geraniums]
if not leave them in the newspaper for another month.
