my soil in one of my raised beds seems to have large amounts of root system that doesnt result in weeds on the surface or plants but spread underground. Is it problem? C

Are there any trees nearby, in which case they could be from these. You can chop these off at the edge of the beds. If they are black, cotton- like and quite tough they could be from a fungus. We sometimes get these but they are not a problem as far as I know.

Have the raised beds been used before, if so they,re probably roots that have broken off when you lifted whatever you were growing in them,
