Going to begin my garden asap by dhsping lawn by lifting turf and creatin borders, m pal wants the turf to lay in his garden, when is the best time of year to do this? And any tips?

turf could go any time now in the spring. best to avoid when frost is forecast . Lift the turf with about 1 inche of soil under the grass so the roots have something to grownin and through.
