Depends on where you are and how cold it gets. I think they are from Mexico type area. I know they are a member of the euphorbia family. cerainly after all risk of frost.

They are considered to be an indoor plant in this country and are not hardy, I would put them in a pot if you want to put them outside but not until the risk of frost has passed, you will need to take them in around September before the nights get cold, it may make the chances of producing flowers over the Christmas period better with all the sunlight feeding the leaves.

I would not plant out while there is a chance of frost, Maybe from end of May, to October.
