Hello Christobel! I believe this is also called Leptospermum - pretty little evergreen shrubby plant with aromatic leaves and rose like flowers? All it needs is a protected spot out of icy winds etc, on slightly acid moist soil. Pruning not required. If you are unsure of your soil PH, then water in some ericaceous feed, or sequestered iron - both freely available at homebase or your local garden centre, about now, then again around June/July. Water regularly with rainwater if you can, or fill a bin with tap water and leave the chlorine to evaporate off for a week before using.
