Has anyone got any experience of planting those flowerball hanging baskets. I get the general idea but I am thinking how to plant the top part of it without plants and soil falling out. I am thinking of making one this year with trailing begonias but I am a bit wary as I have never used one before. Many thanks.

Thanks ever so much Bamboo, it seems quite fiddly but I would love to attempt one as they look so pretty!

« Good day to all, I have a 7ft. "Star Performer" or "Chewpearl"...
Instructions on line suggest you need a circle of cardboard with holes punched in it which fits exactly over the top of the basket. Plant the two halves up, with liners or moss, planting through that and through the wire outside, but without putting any plants in the top. Now get your circle of cardboard and anchor it securely with green plastic coated wire or something in several places - invert it and join up with the other one, locating the two together with more plastic coated ties, leaving the cardboard in place.
