hello.
I have a number of group 2 clematis which are now 2 years old i did not cut back after the first year. How far should I cut as if it was the first year or as the second ?

Spritzhenry is right, though if you have enough growth I would take them back to a strong bud at one metre above base, without cutting into the main stems. Re-tie in and as they grow. Group 2 are usually cut back in February, so the sooner the better!
