Is it too early to plant garlic bulbs

I have my garlic in since December they are now about 10" above ground.If I were you Steveg I would get them in right away.

If you put them in now then they will not be harvestable by autumn...they need a good frost to make the bulb split into smaller bulbs and time for them to grow. So you will need to keep them in over winter and harvest next summer.
