For the last 2 years my bramley cooking apples have fallen before fully ripe with small holes around the stalks, can anyone tell me why, and the cure please.

you can if there near ready use the fallen apples for cooking like apple pies yummy . it sounds like you have something burrowing into them .

Nothing springs to mind which causes small holes around the stalk area - any other symptoms, such as, on cutting open, a brown tunnel inside? Or scarring, rings, entry wounds anywhere else on the outside?
