Hi, last April, I planted Laurel for a border hedge, each one was around 2ft or just under. They have survived the winter but some leaves are now covered in brown spots.. what can I do to stop this...Is it killing the shrub, new to gardening so would really appreciate some advice please!

Hello Margaret! Nothing major wrong. Some laurels in my gardens have suffered this - basically a fungus/blackspot. I experimented with Rose Clear and found it definitely works, so whenever I spray roses and such, I always also spray laurel, honeysuckle and photinia (red robin). Before spraying, water plant base well, as drought will weaken the plant, then wait until sun is going down and bugs and bees have gone to bed!

Thank you so much for your response, I will certainly try this. Your advice is very much appreciated as my knowledge is very limited, so here's hoping! Thanks again.
