I have a Camelia Growibf in my garden and it has been healthy until recently. It appears to have a black mould growing on the leaves. Can anyone advise if this should be treated with a fungiceide and if so, any recommendations?
The plant was damaged by a heavy weight of snow in the winter and I am wondering if this could be the cause of the problem.
All advice gratefully recieved.

Check the underside of the leaves for signs of any infestation there - Camellia scale causes sooty mould to develop on the leaves, but its the scale you need to treat, the mould will go on its own, or you can just gently wash it off with a mild soap solution. Provado make a spray which treats for scale infestation.
