Dwarf pear tree

I have a dwarf pear tree in a large terracotta tub. It's in its second year now, and has never had any blossom on it. I was wondering if anyone knew why this is. I think its a Lilliput one but am not certain. It's in a sunny position.
Thanks very much DD

I'm not sure but for 2 things. First, I thought pear trees took 10 years to grow fruit and the other, that you possibly need to have another pear tree of a different sort to cross pollinate each other? Hope you can sort it out.
