Is there something that would grow into a Hawthorn hedge that is fast growing and evergreen?

i
verigated or normal ivy but i would put the actual base of the plant about 2` away from your hedge and tilt it in towards it as the hedge will of taken a lot of the goodness away and later on it will be obvious which plant is which so you dont cut the climber down bye accident .

Evergreen honeysuckles come to mind. They are fast growing and that will thrive in a hedge.
