A member named Scrumpygraham has a very good blog Jill, Jan 2011, its very informative, he directs you from start to finish, put his name in your search and then check his blogs...I have the everlasting, they are lovely but can get out of hand and will take over if you let them, as Seaburn says they have no scent...

not an expert but i start growing mine in January. I grow old fashioned ones for their perfume. I use old loo roll tubes so the root run is undisturbed. when they have about 4/6 leaves I pinch the tips out to encourage bushy plants. I harden them off from April and plant out in may, where they will get full sun. As each flower fades I remove the dead flower to encourage new flowers.
everlasting peas are not fragrant and have a slightly different flwoer form. pretty but not as good in my opinion.
