HI been off line for a wee while but am back with another question i hope someone can help me with.I have two Plumerias which i want to bring over to the UK in the summer.{Frangipani] They adore the sun/heat in Spain but will they survive in rainy Britain? I do not have a greenhouse so would be kept indoors unless we have an Indian summer!!

Thankyou every one , I guess living on a houseboat could constitute a house? There is no way i will leave them behind, plus i have so many other 'tropical' plants iam loathed to leave eg my papyrus [ 7 foot tall] jasmines [17 foot tall and climbing] and strelitzias. Not to mention my wonderful collection of grasses and callas!!!!! heyho

A houseboat, what an exciting life you do lead. Yes, it's still a house from a plant's point of view, but not with the same amount of space, lol

Plumerias do not like water and will go soft if you give them too much. Expect leaf drop and then dormancy, followed by the flowers - enjoy. When leaves are building nicely, then you can water - sparingly. Watch out for mould and similar disease. They are difficult in Uk.
