Hi My montana has died and have cut back but wanted to plant a rambling rose in front so could climb over Montanas remains! Can anyone suggest a FAST growing rambler, with a fragrance, if it's a repeat flowering so much the better (don't want much do I?) Only colour not really keen on is red, oh, and it would be on a stone shed wall and west facing. Would be grateful for any advice. Thanks, Yvonne

Sorry I don,t know of any that ticks all the boxes, can I suggest you 'google' " Rambling Roses" and see what the specialist have to offer.

Alternatively wait and see if any of the others know of any that would fit the bill.

Sorry I can't be of more assistance.......Tg

Thanks anyway - have tried that and they make every one sound lovely but have bought that way before and been really disappointed so thought I would try the site. Have seen one called Little Rambler on Grows on You garden centre which sounds promising, though its actually a climber it flowers throughout the summer and is fragrant. Wonder if anyone has one? Maybe thats the next question! Cheers Yvonne

Don't grow the one you refer to DB but can sing the praises of Pauls Himalayan Musk it is very vigorous and only flowers once but the scent is to die for, I have pics if you want to take a look..
