When do i prune / trim my Camellia please ?

I agree with Teegee above.Just thinking of trimming my one that runs out of bloom first, then the rest. You just shape them really. However, if a mature one has gone into a very undesirable shape or height you can cut it back drastically. Feed the shrub and fuss it a bit more and make sure they have water in July/August, and a reshaped one will recover. My brother did a hatchet job on his Camellia by the front door and it is back blooming better then ever.

Camellias rarely need pruning other than to remove dead or damaged wood and general tidying up.
If required this should be done after flowering!
