I live in southern Spain & bought a Gloriosa Rothchildia tuber on line. I planted it about 6 weeks ago & so far no signs of growth. The soil is quite damp & the position shady, should I leave it a bit longer or dig it up carefully & put it in a pot in the sun.I scraped around it & it han't rotted.

Also check to see if the root(s) are still attached to the crown. A bare root won't sprout.

This plant likes to be in fertile well drained soil, in full sun, so if as you say it is in a damp position, I would move as soon as possible, Derekm.
