I have just had some short stemmed asiatic lilies bulbes delivered and was wondering how long I can keep them bbefore haveing to plant them

the shorter the time the better. they will still flower this year. i do a succession of planting so i have flowers through the season.

Lilies hate to dry out, so the sooner they are planted the better for them. If you do want to wait then keep them dark and cool and spray with tepid water if they look at all dry. Watch out for mildew if you keep them unplanted for any length of time.

Me too, but I am going to get them in today - the sooner the better really if you want them to flower (we might be a bit late already).
