I have a twenty year old Acer Brilliantissium which for the last two years has developed lime green flowers the same time as the leaves opening.The leaves don't look as vibrant as before ,is this normal ?

Are you feeding it with anything , I use a slow realese fertiliser on mine now would be the ideal time to give them a treat .

This acer can flower... leaves should be bright pink in spring fading to yellow green and finally green. The flowers will not have affected the leaf colour.
