they may recover . at a guess id say it wasnt the snow as there quit hardy but more likley to be root bound and need to go in the ground preferably . i mite be wrong . a photo would be great .

6 foot conifers really need to be in the ground rather than in pots. I doubt the snow has caused the browning problem more likely as NP says they are pot bound and not therefore getting enough water. Which particular conifers are they? If you can add a photo it will help us answer your question.
