I have a ceanothus which is in a pot and is doing very well - growing plenty and flowering loads - but I'm not sure whether I should consider repotting it. Do they take to repotting ok? When is the best time to do it?

Tricky..

Ceanothus are a funny bunch. I would suggest that any time after flowering will be fine.

I gave one to a neighbour once (Blue Mound), she popped it into a bucket and left it there for two years before deciding to plant it in the garden. It thrived well thereafter.

On the other hand my pink one whose name I forget, did well for a year and then curled up its roots and died.

Never tried growing them in a pot.

What variety is it?

How do I say thanks?
