Im trying to find the species of oregano that oil of oregano is made from. The species that holds the highest amount of healing properties to make essential oil of oregano from. What is the common name for it and where can I purchase it?

Answers
Oreganum vulgare hirtum strains are good too. The basic O. vulgare doesn't have such a strong flavour - any hybrid off it will also give oil, but the taste may be different. Not sure where you'll find it over there.
