Ive got 20 sunflowers which I started off in greenhouse, Ive hardened then off. Is it to early to put in the garden yet as they are getting quite big now. We had a frost the other morning so im a bit dubious.

although we have had some chill mornings here in the south down to 4C i have put some bedding out and they have been ok. you could check the forecast every day and cover them with fleece if a frost is predicted, its unlikely to be very prolonged frost at this time of year

If you are putting them in a very sheltered spot, you could go for it. I've 9 sunflowers which are getting big and the roots are even breaking thro' their cardboard pots. A general rule of thumb is to wait 3 weeks after the last frost, but it's really up to you. Good luck!
