i have noticed in my greenhouse little white flecks around the base of wilted marigolds and asters and around dying pansies in plant pots outside is it some sort of pest?i did notice small black flies in the greenhouse 2 walking over the seedtrays do they have something 2 do with it

In a greenhouse, it might be whitefly, but it would be unusual to have those outside when the weather was so cold. The other possibility is a fungal infection or damping off. The black flies might have been aphids or fruit flies or fungus gnats, which do like damp soil.
