I have just lost my beautiful Samoyed dog, aged 14 and a half. He has been laid to rest in a friends garden in semi-woodland area, just under a tree. I would like to plant a shrub in keeping with a woodland area, but with his name, Prince, as a part of the name of the plant. Prince was the most beautiful white dog you have ever seen. Can you help please? Thank You. JEAN

There is an azalea called White Prince but I am not sure where you can buy it.
Ask Google for Azalea White Prince UK and see what comes up.

Hi Jean,
Sorry for your loss.
David Austin do a couple of roses with Prince in the name, but I'm not sure they would tolerate woodland shade.
Otherwise Weigela Red Prince is the only other thing I can think of, but again the shade may be an issue.

Thank You to all those who have replied so far. The azalea will be in my garden within the next week... Thank you. But still searching for something suitable for his place of rest. He was truly beautiful, both in looks and character, so nothing will ever really be good enough, but at least I'm trying!! x

Hi Jean and welcome to GoY. Sorry your dog has died, could I suggest you edit your question to remove your personal e-mail address otherwise you are likely to have an in box full of spam! I hope others can suggest a shrub with the word 'Prince' in its name.
