I once grew her in a pot for around three years, and she grew well, but did SO much better once I'd transplanted her to her own corner of the garden.

Mine is in the garden as they grow quite big and have a tendency to flop over with the weight of the blooms

Things grown in pots have the added problem in Winter that the roots, being out of the insulation of surrounding earth, will more likely freeze. Likewise, in Summer they may well cook if the temperature gets too high. Watering and feeding will become priorities. Always plant perennials and shrubs in the earth if at all possible.

I'm glad you told me this DRC726 .As yet shes as stated on the Austin site around two foot tall in my front garden but i wont move her to the back if she's going to get big and floppy !

Mine is full of buds which will get very heavy and make it droop. I would say 2-3ft tall but just as wide.
