A Mystery: I don't know where they came from, but I found some bulbs in my yard that look like onions, and even peel like them, but my husband thinks they're flowers. They're quite large (2 inch diameter). I did plant my Easter hyacinth in the vicinity. Could they be hyacinths or another flower?

Could they be alliums or bluebells, have you on any occasion planted these?

hyacinths are like onion bulbs so they probably are.

Thanks, everyone. My husband got some facebook answers too with more insight. I think they are hyacinths. I'll plant them, and hope to see some beautiful fragrant flowers.

It'd be much easier for us to give you a sensible answer if you added a photograph of the plant concerned to this question, Lindylou.
