I have four sweet potato plants which are thriving. They are currently in small pots and ready to plant out or on. Any advice ? I live in the sunny warm south east and I have a green house. Should I grow them in the greenhouse or in the borders ? Has anyone succeeded with sweet potatoes ?

I've grown them very successfully in our polytunnel and the yield was excellent. As they are a climber in the morning glory family, they need some kind of structure on which to climb rather than just letting them sprawl.
They need high temperatures and plenty of water, so a greenhouse is ideal, but if we get a 'barbecue summer' they may do ok outside. The tubers mainly form at the end of the season, though, so a cool late August and September might not help.
I don't grow them any more,, mainly because I think parsnips have a better flavour and are so similar! I have better things to grow in the tunnel, such as melons!
