Yup agree, as to which one no idea - what did the seed packet say?

They are Aquilegia McKana Hybrids. I have just grown lots of seedlings having collected the seeds from mine last year. The red and white ones have come true to colour but my bright yellow ones have grown a very light cream. Still very pretty though.

I have pink ones too but no blues like this. Lovely reliable plant.

It could be.......Aquilegia spring magic blue, swan blue or maybe caerula blue.

I would go for Aquilegia flabelata varieties.

Certainly Aquilegia as everyone has said. I love the leaves on them and the bits at the back of the flowers as they looks alien and exotic.

As everyone before me has said Aquilegia ,I dont know the name but do do its a stunning shade of blue.

And if there are any others in the area, they will self seed around, giving you some lovely mixes. They are the real slappers of the plant world. I have a wonderful blackcurrant mckana hybrid and a small lilac double, now I have a blackcurrant and lilac mckana double form.

Oh - I would love one of those - I am a sucker for blue plants, and that is such a beautiful aquilegia!

I love aquilegias too but for some reason they always seem to attract lots of caterpillars to my garden so I fell out of love with them. These are a lovely colour and I'm very envious :-)

Ah yes at times the caterpillars strip the leaves from some of our aquilegias... still worth growing in our view!

How do I say thanks?
