What's causing this please?
I've had this in a barrel planter for about 5 years and this is happening to it! It almost looks like scorch marks, can you help? x

Thank you Anchorman x, can I just say that when I joined GOY last year I read your terrific blog on how to propagate using the pot in pot method. Well I followed your easy step by step instructions on my favourite fuchsia plants and I've got 12 new beauty's! I'm so proud of them! Lol :o) Thanks again.

That's fantastic Franny.
Even though I must have taken hundreds of thousands of cuttings I always get a kick when they "take" and the pot in pot method does seem to have a higher percentage take than most methods.

Container grown plants, that might get quite large after 5 years, might like a complete repot and refreshment of compost. Leaves lower down look pale and washed out too.

Ok Dorjac, thanks. I haven't put fresh compost in this for a while now because of it's awkward position. I'll make the effort :o)

Aucuba can get black spot and is particularly prone to it in the very damp conditions we had in April.
I'd pick off all the affected leaves and burn them.
