Is this Geranium maculatum albiflorum or geranium sylvaticum album?

I had the same problem not long ago.. I just put it under maculatum on my plant list:

Try searching Google images for both. They probably have different leaves, and/or habit and/or flowering season.

My book on hardy geraniums might give you some clues. The white form of G.maculatum is not as strong growing as the coloured flower forms and is not easy to please in garden conditions, especially during drought. It will often flower in both spring and autumn.
G.sylvaticum, on the other hand, grows quite readily but only flowers once per year. Hope this helps

Done that, Readejahn - very similar in looks.
That makes it Sylvaticum. Thanks, Andrew.
