Every time I grow Pak Choi it grows opened out like a flower rather than closed up like the ones you buy ?any suggestions

Mine too. does yours go to seed almost before you pick it ? there's very little left after the slugs have finished with them.I think I 'm going to pot the next batch in containers. Harvesting leaves for salads but they don't seem to be producing hearts for stir fries. Just bought a couple of red leaved ones (which I'm putting straight into pots).
