When I dead head my Petunias do I nip off the whole calyx or just take off the dead petals?

Thanks Booboosmur and Inverglen. I am looking forward to a long display of Petunias. Not really a bedding plant fan but they do add some much needed colour to the garden.

I normally take the whole whole thing off otherwise seed heads will form.
