Thinning apricots??

My friend is lucky enough to have an Apricot tree which is laden with small fruit. She would like to know if she should thin them out to get fewer but larger apricots. Does anyone know, please?

she can do. It will work well. if she goes round first she may find some drop off anyway then she can do the same again in a week or so. I would remove a third of the fruit in total. hope this helps spritz.
