Can I grow oxalis indoors and outdoors?

It's on my kitchen widow at the moment but my mum has hers in a pot in the garden and seems to be ok (mum usually kills off all her plants)

I'd eitehr plant in the garden or have in a pot in the garden but not on the kitchen window sill - too warm...

We grow the oxalis in the front of our flower borders, lovely if you have a path along a border, they form lovely clumps along the edge of the path, they like the sun.
