I agree the photo is a bit less frightening than the last one - how fascinating! I have a viola plant that is just growing and growing - about 20" across now, just from one in a tray of eight. Strange how these things happen. Like an advert for Miracle-Gro (plants grow twice as big!)

It's in my photos - about the fourth one along, I think. It's even bigger now. I didn't take all that much notice of it's size at first, but it's still growing. It all grows from one small stem! As I said, it's about 20", even more. The flowers are lasting a long time as well - there's very little deadheading to do on it. I wish I could remember what variation of compost it's in!!!
