This shrub was stolen from my front garden and it was one of my favourites but I can't remember what it was called, so can't replace it.

It looks like a form of Prunus with red leaves.

Photinus Red Robin?

Did this shrub turn red in the Autumn but green leaves in the Summer? or are they red all the time, just thought it could be a Euonimus Alatus (deciduous Winged Spindle) I would not say a Red Robin as that is evergreen with just red new shoots.

I wondered about a Euonymus too! But when you enlarge the picture there does not appear to be the corky extensions of E. alatus. So perhaps Euonymus europaeus?

I dont think it is Photinus Red Robin, that has mainly rred at the top and the leaves are longer and shiny.

I agree Owdboggy looks more like a Euonimous of some kind, we shall see what the reply is with regard to perminantly red leaves and if it is deciduous.

Could be Loropetalum 'Firedance'. I have one in my garden, looks like this. It has red leaves all year and pink flowers in spring.
