Hi Slp. I'm not sure that Tanacetum Vulgare (common tansy) is widely grown here in Oz. It is in the family Asteraceae and we have another member of that family that is remarkably similar to the tansy. 'Golden buttons' or Chrysocephalum apiculatum is member of the Asteraceae family that grows very well here. It is a groundcover or small shrub and grows to a height of approximately 0.3 m and up to 1.5 m wide. The golden yellow flowers usually appear in summer and autumn, but can appear at other times, and the plant has grey-green leaves that are very hairy and gives the plant a silver appearance.
