Why have my Daphne leaves turned yellow?
West Sussex,
United Kingdom
Purchased last year - flowered October to April - in a large pot on my patio - sun morning only. Fairly protected - water it myself - under balcony of flat above. Live in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

It could also be a magnesium deficency. give it a dose of epsom salts next time you water it. a teaspoon in a litre of water.

Daphnes are difficult to grow in containers although they will sometimes do well. Whilst a well grown Daphne in a pot looks stunning they much prefer being planted in the ground. The problem of the yellow leaves is probably the watering - either too much or too little.
