i think it could be a ribes flowering currant

i have just thought it could be a mahonia as the common name for it is oregon grape, does it have spiky leaves

I was going to suggest mahonia as the seeds/fruits are forming now and they do loke very grapey. were the flowers yellow over the winter/early spring?
