Evening from a windy and very wet cumbria..I have a hedge which is bare/hollow at the bottom in places, is there a shrub, plant etc that could be best suited to be planted just inside the bottom of the hedge that would work..Thanks

Hi from a very windy and wet W. Lancs! Have you considered using containers? It might be difficult to find anything that will thrive under a hedge. (I hope that doesn't sound too negative - someone else may have a much better idea!)

Hi from a very wet, cool and windy west Wales.
I had the same problem with a privet hedge, so i planted some Lonicera nitida in the gaps and now it is top to toe in green.

That's a good idea - I have some of that and it's a lovely colour, and a fast grower.

Hi from a windy and wet Northumberland! What sort of hedge and what size underplanting do you need? Is it south facing, type of soil etc? Sorry to bombard you with questions but might save someone else quizzing you ha ha :-D
