I have a daisy bush 'olearia' which is growing out of control, it has finish flowering how hard can I cut it back ?

Rather depends how long its been in its place - if its years, it will be very difficult to get the roots out intact. You could try, but best done in autumn rather than now. You may find a very large rootball - try to get it out as intact as possible. Water in well in its new position and keep watered during dry spells.

Can be pruned, and that should be done immediately after the flowers go over. A third of the growth removed should be fine, but not more than half.
