We returned from 8 weeks in France mid May to find that our lovely old apple tree was completely dead. On snapping twigs it still appears to be green. What could the reason be?
We live in the South Lakes of Cumbria.
Thank you

It has been the weather. Some of my plants have lost leaves due to the wind and wet conditions that we have had for past few months. Quite a few people have asked questions and blogged on it. I would fertilise the roots to help the tree on for next years growth.
