soft furry leaves

mookins

By Mookins

we went to pensthorpe yesterday and found a HUGE bed of silvery pale green leaves so so so soft it was lke rubbing dogs ears. i had to keep going back. they were quite big, no flowers but this could be too early possibly. they did not feel like any type of foliage Ive ever touched before they felt more like fabric. Am now in desperate need for their name common or Latin

I WANT THEM

A few things, most likely in that quantity, Lamb's Ears. Stachys lanata.
There is a readily available Salvia with furry leaves too, Salvia argentea and a much rarer one called Salvia caerulescens (I think without going to look!).
