Is there anything I can do to prevent the local cat using my raised beds as a toilet?

I have a raised bed which contains carrots, lettuce, beetroot and onion seeds. The bed is made of soft, stoneless soil and compost, which the local cat loves to use as its personal toilet. I've used various powders, gels and pellets to no effect - do any of these chemical solutions work?

covering with wire mesh will work - you've given the neighbourhood puddys the perfect place for a loo. You could also push in pea sticks and string twine across

I have exactly the same problem - I bought lovely soft loam for my raised beds. I have planted coleus canina in and amongst my veggies which is working so far.

I don't know if this will work but, I've heard keep the soil surface damp
